by Fred V. Miller, Sr
(Ark Lodge 39)
I was raised a mason in 1951 by my father. My grandfather, my sons, my grand sons are and were Masons. while I was forced to pursue my efforts to raise my family of seven and to pursue my career in life, I have never lost sight of my obligation as a Mason. It has been the guiding light in my path through this life.
I am eighty seven years of age and am willing to be judged as we all must be, by my credentials as a Mason and a citizen of this great country.
I honor my founding fathers and the gift given to us by those Masons.
My descendants are taught about the gift of freedom and the part our founding brothers played in its birth. They are taught that the Constitution and our Bill of Rights are the law of this land. THE BILL OF RIGHTS IS OUR SHIELD AS WE TOIL IN THE PROCESS OF LIVING A LIFE AS A MASON.
I ASK DAILY TO PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION BASED UPON OUR MASON CONSTITUTION.
I recognize that my time on the river of life is limited. I pass on to my descendants a belief that they will live as a Mason and live by our obligation.
SO MOTE IT BE
